Rose Cottage, Nantucket

This is by far my favorite print. I fell in love with it while we were on vacation on Nantucket Island few years ago. This is a real cottage on Nantucket and has been painted by many artist. This painting just touched my heart. I keep it next to my computer and enjoy it everyday. When I look at it it brings back the wonderful memories of our vacation. The artist name is Maureen Burbic. She also lives on Nantucket Island.

I hope you enjoy seeing the "Rose Cottage" every time you visit.

Birthday Tea Treat !!!!

We are off to San Francisco for my "Birthday Tea"....

On the other side of the Bay Bridge is our destination ......."Lovejoys Tea Room"

Always a lot of traffic going into the city......

It's the tall building that looks like the tip of a fire hose...

and here we are at Lovejoys Tea Room.....I have wanted to go here for about 2 years or maybe longer....My very very good friend Sharon took me here for my birthday...I love you Sharon!!!!

Here is the Menu.....we had the Queen's Tea....of course......It was "Fabulous"......

and we ate the whole thing.......

with all the tea and goodies we couldn't eat dinner that night....

I have been celebrating my birthday allllll month...I only have a few more days to enjoy but I will be looking forward to another wonderful year.....

Sharon and I are going to a different Tea Room every Month. I think it will be fun to share with all of you some great little Tea Shops!!!!! What fun ...

It's My Birthday !!!!

Today is my "Birthday" and I'm going to Disneyland !!!! I don't think you know that about me....but Disneyland is one of my favorite places to visit...there is just something magical about it....my husband and I are going for the day...flying to LA in the morning and staying alllllll day having dinner at some fun place in Disneyland and flying home on the last flight out back to Oakland.

I embrace my birthdays, getting one year older is a life's journey. My Father died at the young age of 37 and I feel blessed that I have seen my children grow into wonderful adults and have family's of their own. I have 7 beautiful healthy grand children and a wonderful husband to grow old with. I count my blessings everyday. I have all I could ever want or need...I'm a lucky woman !!!!!

We Are Off To Tahoe !!!!

We will be gone for a few days to one of my favorite places to visit Lake Tahoe....It's about 200 miles from our home. We live in the Bay area about 10 miles from San Francisco. The water in Tahoe is so clear and very cold and very BEAUTIFUL. We have friends that live there and I always call it a vacation for our eyes because everywhere you look it's amazing.

On the way we stop in Jackson for a little something to eat and take Mika for a little walk. There are also some very cute stores I love visit. I may even come home with a treasure or two.

Victorian Mantel Project Done !!!!

Mantle Project DONE !!!!

It is DONE....DONE....DONE !!!!!

Mantel project is done...except for a few more pieces of molding. Just had to show you...I'm sure by this time tomorrow it will be changed around again.....It just opened a new can of worms....HELP !!!!.....Now I want to paint my living room and slipcover my sofa.....always a work in progress..

"Fabulous" Mantel Project !!!!

I wanted to put something different over my living room mantle. So the search began. I looked on Craig's List on a whim and there it was for $95. It was love at first sight. It has an old tin on the curve part and is missing a spindle and the wood finish is OK, so painting it is not a big deal. So, I have a little work to do on this little beauty.
