Why is it when you make one little change..like the new mirror....
it leads to something else......
It made me put up the lace valances that I have had in a closet for over a year.....
and when I took the wreaths off the lights sconces to put my Mom's pearls around it...that lead me to put the plates on either side of the mirror...which lead me to put the curtain panels on the wall.....
I now think I am done for the time being.....
except I do want to paint....but not now....
I have a six inch piece of of pine I attached the valance to...
so I had room to put a few little treasures....
thanks for going on my little change binge that kept changing....and changing.....
Oh boy, Now You are all ready for COMPANY....I will be right over! Or a visit from a magazine would be perfect! How beautiful everything looks. Wish I could visit with you. But thank you for sharing your beautiful home and life with us. Always a wonderful visit here. Hugs Becky
I just dropped in from Cindy's, and I wanted to tell you how lovely your home is. Beautiful! It is so charming, warm, and inviting. The picture of the rose covered cottage at the top of your page is my dream home. It looks like a little piece of heaven on earth.
Mo, the lace valances look great on your windows and I love the pretties you put above them. Everything looks beautiful. I enjoyed the picture tour. Have you lived in your home a long time?
I don't know why one thing leads to another, but it always does. Your valances look perfect and I like the space above them for little treasures. Have you ever put your home on rate my space? It is so beautiful, you should. Ginger
I happened upon your blog and your home is just so gorgeous...I love it! The way you were telling your story about how doing one thing led to another...I teach preschool and just read the story "If you give a mouse a cookie" and you were just too cute and that story came to mind...I don't mean to compare you to the little mouse...if you don't mind I would like to add you to my list of fun places to visit....again just gorgeous!!!
Beautiful, I just love your new valances...They look so pretty...I just love your room so much..I know I keep telling you the same thing, but I'm always at a loss for words.. I'm hanging my inspiration board above my table, in my little work area... Hope you have a wonderful week.. Stephenie
Your home is beautiful! You have so many pretty touches here and there. It must be gorgeous in person when you can see the whole of it at once. I love the little shelf above the windows. That probably wasn't too difficult to do and what charm it adds. I may have to copy that idea!!
Well I only have one question. When can I move in? Hee hee
You are a true inspiration to me as I continue the slow moving transformation of my home into a shabby cottage dream. I just always love to come here and see what you're up to!
I have fallen behind in blog reading. I am catching up on yours today! I had to laugh and your doing something led you to something else which led you to something else and so on. Too funny! Your home is looking so lovely. How cool in an earlier post you mentioned meeting Cindy! That is exciting!!
I am married and have 3 wonderful children. I am also blessed with 7 beautiful grandchildren.
I work in the travel industry and am very lucky to be able to see so much of our amazing world.
I have been interested in crafts and decorating as long as I can remember. I have taken so many classes over the years like cake decorating, tole painting, ceramics, calligraphy etc. If there is something I'm interested in I just take a class.
This is my favorite print. I bought it while on vacation in Nantucket. Painted by Maureen Burbic. I saw this cottage while on Nantucket...It is just as cozy and pretty as the picture !!!
