I love to have a little lamp on my kitchen counter.....
I have had one on and off for a while....so now it is back on again.....
I am in the process of look for new kitchen counter tops....I love the look of marble...I am at the cross roads of marble versus granite....What do you have granite or marble?????.....I put a mirror in back of the counter and love the way it reflects the light of the lamp.........
this is the look at night....just so romantic and cozy.....I also put on my little chandelier in the evening that I showed you yesterday....I just love this look.....now on to something else......

I have marble on the floor in my powder room. After four years, it just doesn't look as pretty as new. Maybe it's me. I would read up on the durability. I think you have to be very careful with granite. I love granite and that's what I would get, with a wood butcher block section somewhere in the kitchen. We had a huge butcher block counter when I was a kid and it was superb!!!

Oh Mo, This is so sweet and girlie, just like you. I also love to have a lamp on the counter, but don't have the space. the only place is on my sideboard. A lamp certainly does give off a romantic feel though. Maybe that's why I have so many.
Hi Mo...my server has been down & I've missed visiting several of your posts...but the chandy you got for $30 is gorgeous!...Now, about granite or marble...I wouldn't know...I've still got formica in my 45 year old house & I'm afraid that's what will stay unless we win the lottery! ;-) Bo

Oh that vignette is gorgeous. I also love a lamp somewhere on a kitchen counter, it is such a cozy look! The mirror is a wonderful idea. Beautiful pics as always!! I am awful, I want to see more and more pics of your beautiful home. I don't have advice for your countertops. Like your commenter, Bo, mine are formica. I just call them vintage and they are fine for me.

This does look like a picture that should be in a magazine! So pretty. I actually like the counter tops that you already have. I've always liked ceramic tile. Your home is beautiful.
I love the Tea Time! I am eying your cup holder too. lol I know bakers say marble is great for dough. I went to a wholesale place, you can fall in love with both types! I going to do wood, It just goes with my old fashion kitchen.
I love the "Tea Time" plate and the mirror...everything is oh, so romantic looking! Pretty, pretty!
I'm loving your kitchen decor. I've been in my house 4 years and adore my granite counters. They are called Venetian Gold. There are so many beautiful granites out there. I just clean with soapy water and use a granite sealer once a year. I can put hot pots on it. It takes a lot of abuse in our busy kitchen.
