Paint Project # 1

We have had this little table forever...it has been a fish tank stand...stereo stand....catch all table...etc.....I pulled it our of the storage shed on Thursday and gave it a new life once again......

sprayed it with Kilz Oil Base primer.......
then painted it with a off white semi gloss paint.......

and here you have it...once again back in the house......

love how it turned out...I just went shopping in my shed and it didn't cost me anything...even had the paint.....

topped it with a few little treasures......
love how it looks at night.....

cute little cut out on the legs......

tomorrow paint project # 2....
Have a wonderful day...
Hugs,
Mo :-)
******************************************
I use Kilz Oil Base Primer spray...it really sticks to the wood....and it is just easier than painting it on because it is oil base....no mess to clean up....then I lightly sand it with 00 or 000 sand paper just to make it smooth.....I use a paint brush to paint the final coat of latex paint ...it usually only takes one coat.....then lightly sand it again...very simple and very easy.....

Aren't those the best deals!..the ones we find in our own backyard. I wish I had time to finish a few thing that I have on the go. Do you spraypaint most of your items or use a brush?

Lovely transformation. It sure became perfect for all those displays you have. It's as if the brown-looking desk didn't exist at all! :-)

I love your little table! It looks so much better painted white. I love the cut outs on the sides. I need to go shopping out in my shed. I have a lot of things out there that I need to get busy on!

What a lovely transformation. The table looks so shabby chic now with all of your pretty treasures diplayed on it. I love that rose striped hinged box you have displayed on top. I have two just like it. One in pink and one in green that I found at HomeGoods. I have the green one on my coffee table in the living room and it works great for hiding the remote controls, etc.

Hope you have a great week Mo..

I have a pretty old table very similar to that one stuck away somewhere.... You have inspired me!
Our weather's turned a little cooler so what a great time to get out and work on turning something ordinary into a beauty?!!
Yours is FABULOUS!
Blessings

Love that sweet little table! It's alot more fun to 'remake' something than to spend the money buying new.

Both of these pieces turned out great, though I would've had a hard time covering up those pretty roses! I have to get that primer. Sounds like it makes a big difference. I'm not real big on painting pieces like that, but yours turned out gorgeous. I love all your lace and crystal. Everything is so pretty!!

Now that table is cute, something like that can fit into any place. I have never used oil paint on anything, you got me thinking.. Great job Mo!
