Another Treasure

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better....June brought over yet another Birthday goodie....she found this at an estate sale...... she told me it had my name written all over it.....I have to admit it sure did.....as they say "one man's trash another man's treasure...I I will treasure this goodie Forever.....

I'm A "M" Junky

The Letter "M"

I was looking around my home and noticed that I have collected the letter M a few times...I think ever since I was a little girl I loved the number "8" and the letter "M"....so glad my Mom named me Maureen AKA Mo :-)

P.S. I use the cute wine glasses 2 ways.....I put a little rice in it and then a candle on top and use it as a candle holder.....and of course to have a glass of "wine" once in a while...:-)

Bird Bath

Birthday Surprise !

My neighbor June is soooo talented....an artist...her stained glass is amazing.....but I received the unexpected......can you see it ?????

More Change

Is Less More ?.... Well Sometimes :-)

As the saying goes is less more....my coffee table is definitely less....I cleared off some "stuff" and moved things around... for now I like it...more of a clean look....

I wish I could say the same for the entry table ... I started out with less and ended up with "more"...sometimes rules cannot be followed :-).....in my case anyway....

I just had to put "more" treasures on the silver tray...couldn't help myself...

Relocating Hutch

Changing Things Around...

wanted a bit of a change in the living room.....I found a hutch a few years ago that I had on my patio that would do the trick....I filled it with some of my treasures and love the new change.....

Moved a few more things around...more tomorrow..

Homemade Is Best

Rag Lamp Shade :-)

I have been away from doing homemade projects for a while....I'm starting in again and started with this adorable lamp shade....I got the idea from a shade my friend Sharon bought.....very simple....I was so excited to start this project I forgot to take before pictures.....I took an old lamp shade (bought at the thrift store) tore off the cover sprayed painted the frame antique white ...then cut strips about 6 or 7 inches long and about 1 1/2 inches wide....of about 5 or 6 different fabric in the same shades but different textures......just do what looks good to you...and be very generous with the strips when tying around the top and bottom of the wire shade....I tied one at a time alternating the fabric....it took about 2 hours or so......

I put this shade over a lamp shade I had...you can put it over a shade or it can be by it-self over a pretty light bulb...

and of course I had to have one in Pink ....

Bud Vase

"Sweet Pink"

When my Grand-daughter Ailish was born a friend gave me a rose bush called Baby Blanket....the pale pink roses are small and delicate....I found the cute little bud vase at Z Gallerie last week and had the perfect rose to put int it....I attached it to my bathroom mirror....I love seeing the sweet little rose...something so small put a smile on my face.....
