Cute Little Chest Find !!!!

I had no intention's to buy anything at Ross last week...they were having a clearance sale...I found this cute little chest for $35.... at one time sold for $149.... hard to believe.....and thought it would be cute painted.....
Well the more I looked at it the more it grew on me......
It had a lot of dings and nicks...
so I put a little scratch cover on the dings
and nicks and am living with it.....
I think I really like it....this is really shabby chic.....
everything else is very light in that room and this kinda grounds things....
what do you think ?????

************************
I also found this picture frame made out of tin at Tuesday Morning....
this store is in Orinda which is about 40 minutes
away so I do not get there very often...
I guess that is a good thing.....
I put a picture of a rose I found on a napkin
and put some roses on it now it is one of my favorites....

Hey Mo!
I love Ross and Tuesday Morning store too...I live approximately an hour from those stores though, so I don't get to go that often, but when I do, I always find something good! I love this chest you found...I think it has a romantic shabby chic-ness to it and it really makes everthing around it pop...I love the contrast of the dark with the light here....it's perfect with all of your pretties....you did great girl!

I agree, sometime we need a little contrast...But the way you display it...is beautiful.

I love that chest. I can't imagine painting it, though. You would cover the beautiful roses on the front (unless there's a way to do it without covering the roses). The picture frame is gorgeous too. You did great!

Oh Mo, I love the chest just as it is. I wouldn't change it at all. The beauty is in the design and I think you should keep that. I love the picture frame , too. And all the roses, and everything! Don't change it, it's beautiful!
