Christmas in San Francisco

Every year my hubby and I go to San Francisco for the day.
We shop and have lunch....Well this was our day....
Just a few pictures of the beautiful sights in San Francisco....
We bought our train ticket.....$8.10 round trip
Here comes our train......

To San Francisco...
The train ride is about 20 minutes from our station....
The train lets us off at the fabulous Westfield Mall on Market Street....
it just goes round and round with escalators...
Sorry I forgot to count how many floors...
It is a lot......
decorated for Christmas....
more hanging lights.....
This is the rotunda where Bloomingdale's is...
Just fabulous.....
The decorations are amazing.....

we walked up Powell Street to Union Square.....
and of course a cable car...decorated for Christmas....
(my husbands father worked on the cable cars many years ago)
The Fabulous St. Francis Hotel on Union Square....

This Christmas Castle is all made ready to EAT.....
it is located in the lobby of the St. Francis....
Just amazing and beautiful......
Click to read how it was made....Interesting !!!!!
and of course how can we forget Macy's
We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory on the top of Macy's
and I mean the top...The view is BEAUTIFUL.....
Elevator to the top.....
and here is hubby and I after our wonderful lunch....
and were very FULL......
one of the windows at Macy's......
and more walking...we had to walk off our lunch .....

and of course Neiman-Marcus....
Union Square.....
the flowers smelled amazing.....

ice skating in Union Square......
This is really "How much is the doggie in the window"
The Humane Society puts the pets up for adoption every
year in the windows of some of the stores in Union Square...

there is a little kitty behind the chair.....
everyone wanted to see the animals....so cute.....

Sounds like you had a great day! I didn't know there was ice skating in SF! If we were to go hang out in SF, we would take the ferry from Vallejo. We have done that a couple of times. One year we did that for our anniversary. Oh it was for our 20th. We have been married for 29, that tells you how long we did that. But we did it again last summer as part of a church outing to the Aquarium on the Bay.

What wonderful memories you brought back to me. I went to school in San Fransisco. The Bryman School for dental assisting.
I was one of the first riders of Bart and took it into town every day and I think the tickets then were only 1.25. A wonderful town.
Maybe one day I will ride that train again.....meet me at Tiffany's.
Hugs

Hi Mo,
I forgot to tell you how adorable you look in the pic with your hubby (: You had asked about my kichen cabinets~I have a pic on the right side of my blog, just scroll down till you see it, also in my older posts, I can't remember which month though, you can see where we did a little remodel. The cabinet is actually cherry red but for some reason it looks really dark in that pic. I repaint my cabinets all the time, I usually leave the top cab's white and paint the bottom a color, they have been red,black,2 different greens and pink! Crazy I know but I love change!! Good luck!
