Lace Screen Re-Do

Vanity project on hold due to weather......
(a lot of work is done outside)
So I went to plan "B"
I have so many projects I want to do I have a list a mile long...
This screen wanted a make over and it was second on my list of to do's....
I put gold foil on the panels about 35 yrs ago...
what was I thinking....
(as you can see it is very wet outside...
and my cyclamen are still blooming)
this side I kept plain.....
it was still in good shape after 40 yrs.

My hubby took the panels out
and I primed and painted the screen....

added some lace and a wood applique....

and here you have it......my new lace screen....
Just in time for Christmas Eve.....
Happy Holidays.
Hugs,
Mo :-)

It so beautiful! Don't be too hard on yourself about the gold foil, I can look back within the decade and say "What was I thinking?!"
Anyway, the divider looks fabulous! My mom saw your blog and she said it was endless eye candy! I definitely agree!

Your screen is beautiful now that you've revamped it. I love making things over, it's so rewarding to take a "piece of junk" or an "ugly duckling" and make it over into a beautiful treasure. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
