New Reading Lamp Re Do
as I told you before my friend Sharon gave me this fabulous lamp for my birthday...well while in New York I found this amazing trim store....It was called M&J Trim on Broadway.....

The trim on the bottom of the lamp is a silk ribbon trim from Paris.....the moment I saw it I knew it would look fabulous on the new reading lamp......

I also found the beautiful ribbon roses..... I cut the dingle balls of the lamp...you will see the before picture below.....(I'm a not a dingle ball person)....I put the ribbon roses with some of the silk ribbon on the top of the lamp......

I hope you can see the amazing detail of the ribbon......

so romantic and I love my re do reading lamp.......

here is the before........
dingle balls gone and replaced with beautiful trim and ribbon.....

Here is Mika....
she wanted to say Hello and and let you know she missed all of you.....

Thank you Mika.....she is so sweet !!!!!

"Tavern On The Green"
I was in New York a few years ago and didn't have a chance to eat here....well this time around this was a must for me.......this place was amazing !!!!!!!

The room we ate in was called the Crystal Room...it was like a huge green house......with beautiful chandeliers....beautiful plants and a amazing ceiling.....

the detail in the ceiling was just fabulous.......

this was taken on our way to the Crystal room.....

another little surprise in the hallway!!!!!!!!!

and another !!!!!!!

this arrangement was in one of the other dining rooms......
I had the salmon and it was fantastic......(forgot to take a picture of the food...I guess I must have been hungry)

CENTRAL PARK
What is not to love in Central Park......
the trees.....beautiful

This is another restaurant called the Boathouse in Central Park

Coming out of Central Park.........

THEATER
We saw two plays while in New York...
there is nothing like going to the theater.....
The first play we saw was Avenue Q....I have wanted to see this since the last time we were there...I missed it in San Francisco so I was so happy to see it while in NEW York...
it was so darn cute.....I loved it......
The second play we saw was "HAIR"
It was fantastic....it was so my era....love the music the clothes the songs ....
I could see it over and over again........

**************************************************
"TIME SQUARE"
Well what can I say about Time Square......after the plays that week we walked a block to Time Square....the lights the people the feeling the amazing craziness......I loved it !!!!!!!

Now about the Yellow Cabs....there are hundreds...thousands of Yellow Cabs...they are everywhere...all you can see at times is a sea of Yellow Cabs.......
I say bye for now...but for sure I will be back....I love New York!!!!!!!
Have a wonderful week....
Hugs,
Mo :-)

Happy Birthday Mo, sounds like you had a great time. My sister in law, her sisters and her Mom leave on the 27th for NYC, she is ecstatic and I can't blame her!

The lamp looks beautiful as always!!

Hi Mo, It certainly sounds like you had a fabulous outing for your birthday; what a great way to celebrate. The crystal room looks spectacular and I like the pedestal that was in the window. My Aunt had one that kinda look like that and it was just as beautiful as that one. Anyways you did an awesome job with the lamp shade, very exquisite!

Happy Belated Birthday!!

What a wonderful birthday you had.
I know just who to contact when we go to New York. I got stuck at the airport once and they put us up at a hotel near Shea stadium. I told hubby that we should walk to the subway but talking to a cop was told that we would have most likely shown up on a police report. So other than that I have never been but looking at your pictures I know that it is going to be wonderful.

Glad you had fun in NYC...I've never been and want to go one day. I'm sure you've seen on the news that the Tavern on the Green filed bankruptcy...or is closing...can't remember. I just saw this news this week!

Happy belated birthday, Mo. Looks like you had a great time! I love that Crystal Room! It is so beautiful! I would love to go there! I've been to New York once (to market) and I didn't have too good of a time. I did get to see a play though and that was fun. I saw 'CATS'. I really liked it.

Sounds like you had a superb birthday! What fun!! Isn't NYC the best?! I love it there!! You got some great shots! There is no other place like it, wouldn't you agree? Sounds like you hit all the great places.

I love what you did with "our" (LOL) cute little lamp! It is so pretty the way you fixed it up. I love mine too, but I do wish the light was a little brighter. I have to see if that is the max wattage allowed. I love the soft, warm glow it gives. I'm so glad you shared it so I could buy it too!

Can't wait to hear about your current trip!!
