Sofa Project...One Year Already!!!!

It's been one year !!!!!!!
I thought I would share my sofa....I can not believe that it has been almost one years since I finished this slip cover project....
this is the after picture.....as you can see the ruffle is almost done on the side.....I couldn't find a sofa I really liked...well I did but it was over $2,000...HELLO.....now who has that kind of $$$$

I have never slipped covered anything before ...I thought how hard could it be....well is wasn't that it was hard to do ...but it was very time consuming...my motto was..."slow and steady"........

just different stages of my progress......this for sure was the half way mark .......I used quilts I bought at Marshall's and the dust ruffle was curtains to match....I just loved the soft colors.....

I loved my sofa...but very out dated and the floral print...what was I thinking back then...oh well at the time I loved it......

and here is the before in all it's glory......
Happy One Year Anniversary My Cute Little Sofa....
Hugs,
Mo :-)

I LOVE that makeover! We have a little sofa similar to that. The most comfortable little thing in the world, almost 30 years old, so you KNOW what it looks like! It's the 70s colors, rusts and browns and flowery, ugh. *sigh* if only I could sew I would give it a lovely makeover like you gave yours! But for now, the poor thing is banished to an upstairs bedroom, hardly ever used or seen any more! Perhaps some day I'll learn to sew better and be able to give it a sprucing up job!

Have a lovely day!

Your sofa slipcover is beautiful! I saw a sofa very similar, and it was well over $2,000! I made a slipcover for my old sofa and loveseat...it was fun, but I'm not sure I'll ever do it again...so much work, so I know first hand how long it takes to do it...but you have a beautiful almost finished product, and you did it yourself!

God bless,
Mary

Fantastic slipcover!!! I would love this for my sofa, but unfortunately I don't think hot gluing an entire slipcover would be very practical (I don't sew)!!!

Hi Mo, It is so nice to have you back, and I can't wait to see more fabulous posts from you. Yes I remember seeing this I think It was before I started blogging. I couldn't believe how beautiful this was and amazed at your sewing abilities. My Gosh, I need a woman like you in my area to make me something as grand as this. I don't sew and I wouldn't want to do it, I rather pay somebody. Just like Isala I just like gluing.

See you soon... Hugs-

Hi Mo,
Your couch is lovely and so romantic. It looks like the perfect place to snuggle up in. It does take a while to make slip covers a lot of measuring and measuring again. You did a amazing job.
Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

Mo your slip covered sofa looks beautiful. You really did a good job on it. I love the colors.
I hate to admit it, but my living room sofa is floral too. That was the style back then. lol.

So glad you are posting again! I and my 13 year old Dd missed your posts! I hope you will give more details about your slip cover! It's just amazingly gorgeous! I have a thrift store love seat in my bedroom waiting for a similar make-over but I've not ever done anything like that before so am still gathering facts--and courage! Detials, please?! Thanks.

You used quilts, How brilliant is that! It's so difficult to find soft pink shabby prints in apholstery fabrics. Your sofa is beautiful!
