Well anyway the right side of the cart is mine and the other side is my friend Sharon. See, we know a good deal when we see one. I went a little crazy. Thought I would put them everywhere. My "Secret Garden", back yard and front yard. When the weather gets a little nicer I will give you a tour. This is our deal of the week. Can you believe we got allllllllll this for $12.83.

My Victorian Guest Room

This is on the door to my guest room. My Son moved out a year ago and now we are true empty nester's. I have always wanted a nice guest room and here it is.............

+ I have many looks in my home. The Romantic look the Cottage look. I will share them with you at another time but I think the Victorian is near and dear to my heart. I hope you enjoy the tour. The bed is from a friend of mine Vivian. I love it!!!!! I hope you can see the hand carved roses on the headboard and foot board. It is fabulous!!!!!

I have battenburg pillow shams that I picked up for $3 each a while back and didn't know where they would end up but here they are. The quilt at the end of the bed was in my bedroom. I am redoing my bedroom at the moment. I will share it soon!!!!

I have great luck at Ross. I found this night stand for $29. I grabbed it so fast I knew I had just the right spot for it. The lamp was a great find as well. So cute and very Victorian it came from a second hand store. I think it was $19 or some where around there. The tea cup was a gift from my friend Sharon. I love it!

This old entertainment center kinda came back to life with a little lace. Some lace where the old VCR was and guest towels on the shelf and next to it is an old picture that belonged to my husbands grandmother and on the floor the stool and little cake and goodies I pick up here and there.

On the top of the of the entertainment center is a clock I bought at Ross and the cute boxes, I can't remember where they came from. The picture I put together with some cards and a Victorian fan I bought at a craft show. The frame is from Ross. I just like the look of the frame at the time and held on to it and now it has a home.

My friend Sharon and I were in this antique store in Danville when I spotted this what not shelf. I just knew it would be out of my price range. So we just looked around. Well I guess curiosity got the best of me and I asked and what do ya know $145. I thought it was a great deal and now here it is on my wall. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
The little lamp in the middle my husband bought for me when we were in Carmel CA a few years back. It has always been one of my favorites. You can put it anywhere. The little dish and hankie came from a antique store in Martinez CA. The little flower holder was a gift. I have always liked the Victorian style. The old glasses were my husbands grandmothers.
I wish this picture turned out a little lighter. The Victorian what not shelf is above this sewing machine, it belonged to my husbands grandmother. The photo does not do it justice, it is really beautiful. It kinds looks like a set. I just love this look.
I made this little stool. It was on clearance. I covered the top with the great pink fabric I've had forever. Then I took some netting glued it under the stool put a tassel and bow and here it is. Of course I have my cute little kitty sleeping on top.

Every bedroom needs somewhere to sit other than the bed. I love this little bench. Great place to put your shoes on.

BEFORE AND AFTER BENCH

BEFORE This is a little project that my Hubby and I did last Summer.
We had this old wood and cement vintage bench that someone gave us
years ago and I always wanted to so something with it.
This is the before, I love before and after pictures.......

AND AFTER

and this is the after.....I made a pattern for the top of the
wood back and cut it out with a jig saw.
It makes me smile everytime I see it.....

Hutch on the Run!!!

I just had to share this fabulous find. My husband and I were driving home after visiting friends in Gardnerville NV. We had just left their home when I spotted a garage sale as we were driving by I spotted this interesting something. I yelled "STOP!!!!" MAKE A U TURN!!! I think, well I know, I scared my husband. Well bless his heart he turned around and here it is. We had been antiquing the past few days with our friends and had to unload and reload our SUV so we could fit this baby in. Well here it is. I put it on my patio with lots of goodies.

SOME GREAT FINDS

I bought this lamp shade at a garage sale, actually I bought 2 for $15. I have the other one in my living room In the darker picture is just what it looks like at night. LOVE LOVE IT.

I love the Tea Cup. I think it is one of my favorites. I have it on my night stand in my bedroom. The roses I bought in Newport Rhode Island. We went on the Newport Mansion tour, by the way it was fabulous. I found it in one of the stores on the tour. Only $16. The mirror in the back I bought at a garage sale. It is definitely an old one. It's kinda chipped and the mirror part is starting to come off but I loved it.

One more thing...

I forgot to show you the little bird bath I set the chandelier on. I filled the bath with some beautiful mini pink and cream sea shells I bought in Mystic Connecticut. Didn't know what I was going to do with them at the time...I think they look great in the bird bath... this is their home for now.

My Bay Window

This is what I have done with our living room window, this week anyway. I love changing it around. It kinda gives the room a new look in a small way.

.

I bought this table chandelier at a Antique store in Pleasanton, CA. It's not an antique but I thought it was cute.
I also like this cute little mosaic bird house. One of my finds at Ross.

Love this book. It's called "The Romantic Garden." I'm always changing the pages around for different seasons or fun occasions. My friend Sharon gave me the stand for my birthday. The little bird nest I bought in Placerville,CA on clearance. Lucky me.

Day 1 Back again

I asked my husband to help me get a picture on this. He knows a lot more than I do about adding pictures. But I will learn. This is what I have on my kitchen table. My husband bought this plate for me for our anniversary. Its called "The Write Plate." So I thought I would share this with you. So Cute! "Great for Valentines Day." Or any occasion. I already used it for Christmas and New Year greeting.

Day 1 January 16, 2008

Well I'm trying to start this blog and really have no idea what I'm doing. Just want to see how long this will take me to set up. I'm hoping all who see this will love reading it as much as I have enjoyed reading other blogs. I love the color "PINK" and Roses of course. If I get this blog going I would love to share my home with you and some great ideas. All for now...this is enough for one night.
