The Bike Fairies

When I put this bike planter against the tree in my front yard...it brought back memories of my children when they were young...when they were out playing and ran home for lunch or just to check in...they would lean their bike against our old tree......
I bought this bike planter at Ross at the end of summer last year for $29 .......and just brought it home from my friends Sharon's....she bought one too...well anyway we hid them from our Hubby's since last summer....hehe....and guess what...."SURPRISE"!!!!!!!! I wonder where that came from......
the Bike Fairies maybe ?????
I have had this sign forever and thought it looked cute on the bike....
now we are the grandparents.......except they call us Pops & Mamo...

would this be Yard Art ?????
Hugs,
Mo :-)

I would call that yard art. It looks great against the tree and is a sweet reminder of your children. I really like the landscaping with the stones. Are those ornamental grasses? I saw on the news CA is having very warm weather. We will be in the 70's later this week. Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Oh my gosh! This is beautiful! I love the whole look, the planter, the adorable sign, the plant in the basket, the rocks - all gorgeous!! I bet tons of people will comment on it as they drive by and see it. Great find and great placement!

Your bike planter is adorable. I am in the gardening mood now! And, I love your blog header painting, Rose Cottage. It, really, draws you in! I am a Susan Rios fan too! Although, I don't own one of her prints, I used one of her paintings as inspiration to paint my own painting for my bedroom. Have a wonderful day!

I think the bike is great, and I would call it yard art! I like the color too because it's very subtle. It looks great there by the tree. How long did it take your husband to notice? Thanks for the tip on binkie removal, I'll keep you posted!

OH MY STARS!!!!!! I ♥ IT!...We have a tree in our front yard that I just love...I am going to have to search for a bike like you and TOOTSIE have....what makes me really laugh about this is how you hid it at your friends home away from your hubby....I do stuff like that too!!!!!! Could you please tell your little fairies that I need a visit as well....

It looks awesome! I totally think it is yard art!

I love the bike and the way you have it up against the tree, with the sign. What a great price too. I have been looking for a vintage bike to put a basket on the front with flowers, and set it by my potting shed, but haven't found one yet. If I had seen one like yours, I would of grabbed it up quick. I used to sneak things home when my hubby worked, now that he is retired and home all the time, can't get away with anything. lol.
I think the bike fairies is a good excuse though.

That is adorable! My mom used to hide things she bought from my dad! I remember when I was little I used to peel the price stickers off of things while we drove back home from shopping! Haha..that brought back some good memories!

Wow, Mo what a deal and looks just beautiful by the tree. Funny about the fairies and keeping it a secret for so long. I have been wanting one for some time now and here in Canada I saw them for $375 to $600 and later for $130 at HomeSense. Some day I may get lucky and get one but doubt on the price...this was some deal! Enjoy!
