Flowers, Tub & A Gate

Every year we get this Fabulous gift from Heaven.....this rhododendron was here before we bought our home...and we have been here for over 35 years...and every year is just gets prettier...I LOVE the color....it always bloomed in May.... but now it blooms in mid April....too bad it only lasts a few weeks....

now remember this is still a work in progress....
I have to re stencil the tub....
this part of our garden looked so pretty last summer....
and add a little more color......
this get a lot of shade....

and this gate will get a fresh coat of paint....
Hubby and I made this gate about 3 years ago....we taught ourselves as we went along....gates are not as easy to build as it looks....but it was fun....we made the pickets to match the vintage bench....as a matter of fact we made two gates....this gate hides the trash and recycle bins....I hated to see them from our patio....so up the gate went.....heard it might rain this weekend.....that figures...just when we are on a roll.....
Hugs,
Mo :-)

Your garden is beautiful! The rododendron is amazing! I just bought two of them for the first time this year and they're blooming beautifully. Hopefully, in time, they will look as amazing as yours. Just like the bench you posted, the gate is fabulous!

Your garden is beautiful! I love rhododendron's, we inherited one with our house too, it's purple, and not blooming yet, so I'm looking forward to it. Our magnolia tree is almost done blooming already! They don't last long either, but are totally worth it!

I also LOVE your gate! Seeing the trash cans is something that totally bugs me too, and I still haven't figured out a solution for the problem!

Have a lovely day!
Margie :)

Good Morning Mo - My bunnies name is MO! LOVE IT!!!
Isn't it a shame how fast everything is being forced to bloom this spring with the heat we received early on. I blogged about that yesterday.
Your flowers in that bush are fabulous... can't wait to see what you will share next.
Have a blessed day in the garden.

Hi Mo~ ~ ~
Thanks for the info on the pink pulls.
I love your garden and house I could move right in. Love your header I wonder which roses they use when they have them rambling over a house like that? I understand that they are many years old but I would like to get started growing mine now since this is our first year in our home. Any ideas?~ ~Ahrisha~ ~

Your yard is just beautiful. I love the old tub. The flowers are amazing.
I think you and your hubby did a great job on the gate. Why is it some people have all the talent, and some of us don't have any? lol
