Paint Project # 2

I was really undecided about painting this little chest at first.....I lived with it for several months and every time I looked at it....I didn't like it...then I really didn't like it and then out it went for a paint job...... I sprayed it with Kilz Oil Base Primer...and painted it with the off white semi gloss paint....
I want to do a bit more paint detail work on this little chest but I have to be in the mood to work on it.......but for now....I was just on a roll and wanted to paint all three little projects on my days off from work.....

the color looks so much better in my living room....

and of course all the little treasures look so at home on top of this chest....

and the little glass pink knobs gives it the sweet pink pop of color......

I took the pink knobs out of the little bird bath I had sitting on the chest.....
good thing I put them there...I am always forgetting where I put things.....

below here it is at night....so romantic and pretty......

even during the day everything just sparkles....

tomorrow ...
my chandelier tins have a home.....
Hugs,
Mo :-)

Morning Mo. I gulped real hard when I saw you were painting over such a beautiful chest, but I love the outcome...it's beautiful. I love to paint things, always feels fresh and new. Have a wonderful day ~Kathy~ sweetup-northmornings.blogspot.com

I think the chest is gorgeous!
I have a similar one a lady gave me several years ago and I've hesitated to paint it. I did do a light marbling on the top but for sure now, I'm ready to get out my white paint..... And funny, but I have the same rug (thrift store find for $12), garland, tin 'bucket' and a very similar bird's nest.
You did GOOD!
Blessings
Jennifer

You just put the primer on, didn't have to strip it first? I really like it painted white. The pink knobs are perfect for it.
Turned out beautiful!!

I would have been nervous painting over those pretty roses. However it does look beautiful painted white. It shows the curves off better. I also love the pink glass knobs. It goes much better with your decor now.

Mo, I had a hard time with this paint project - I really liked the before, however, I didn't even see the beautiful curved lines of the chest in it's previous life. You're right, it just sparkles now with the pretty glass knobs! Great eye! ☺ Diane

Mo, was that chest in your victorian guest room? I loved it before and I love it after. The white really shows the pretty lines and those pink knobs are perfect. You always accessorize beautifully. Paint job #1 is amazing. Love both pieces. You are a busy lady! I always love your posts and pictures!

We are so alike when it comes to painting.... The little chest is adorable. I love it! I can't believe it Mo, I have white crystal door knobs in a thing too, kinda like what you have in my bedroom. Mine is mixed with potpourri to hide the metal parts. I'll show you one of these days.

Have a Great Day-
