"Inspiration""

Last Friday, the 4th of July, my husband and I took Mika for a walk along Jack London Square, in Oakland CA. There was a Barnes and Noble so of course I went in and FINALLY I found the New "Romantic Country" magazine. Well, it really inspired me to change a few things around. Once there is a spark there is fire. Sooooo here are a couple of Vignettes inspired by Romantic Country. I still have a few more things I want to do. Love this issue!!!!!

Living room coffee table....... filled with some old and new treasures....

Filled basket on fireplace with just stuff and colors I love.....makes me happy!!!

Tea Clock

I finished this TEA CLOCK finely.....I love teacups and tea pots so I knew I wanted some kind of Tea Clock clock in my kitchen.
I love the way it turned out and it looks perfect on my wall.

I found the heart letters at a craft show last year and they fit great in the heart cut out....


I had some old buttons that I hot glued around the heart and just put a touch of green for a highlight.

I had an old ugly clock that I painted pink and then the face I also painted a cream color put some more buttons and some rose decals and there you have it a new clock....

The before....I think it is much happier now !!!!!

This has a home in my living room..... I found this great bird cage holder on Thursday and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it ...I love chandeliers and had one I wanted to put behind a chair in my loving room... This is what I had to work with....I knew it would be Fabulous in my little corner... One day I should take pictures of all my chandeliers...there is something so Romantic about them. Hope you enjoyed your visit...

It's Here ....It's Here !!!!!!

"Thank You" BJ !!!!

Today I received the door plate from BJ. I saw it on her blog Sweet Nothings last Saturday and commented how much I liked it.....Well she was kind enough to send it to me......Look how pretty is was wrapped...I just look at it for a while before I tore into it.....It was wrapped with a beautiful rose fabric and a darling bow with roses and the sweetest card.......but there is more !!!!

A surprise !!!!!!!

TWINS !!!!!!

Not only did she send me the one I saw on her blog....she sent me TWO!!!

What a nice surprise....THANK YOU BJ!!! Now the pressure is on to do something "FABULOUS"

Pink Saturday....Lamp

It's "PINK SATURDAY"

I wanted to share one of my favorite lamps. I have enjoyed it for almost 5 years. My Mom gave me the very old broach that I have pinned on a old lace doily.

I hot glued several shades of PINK roses on the lamp shade. I think they have held up great over the years. The base I found at an antique store. I had no idea what I was going to do with it at the time.........then it hit me.....a lamp!!!!

Mika's New Bed

I have been looking for just the right bed for Mika.....Well I found it and it's PINK of course ......as a matter of fact I found 2... the other one below is a Fabulous green. I just couldn't help myself..... I put one in the kitchen and the other in the family room....

The reason is they were only $14.99 each. I couldn't make it for that.....I love Ross!!!!

and Mika loves her new beds......

Mika is doing great....she is 14 weeks now weighs 2 lbs 12 oz......She get her final puppy shots in 3 weeks and then I can take her out....looking forward to her first outdoor adventure......

Where To Get It !!!

Many of you wanted to know where I purchased my "Fabulous" Chalkboard sign I used for the "Front Porch Party"......Well, I have the info for you. It was mail order from Tender Heart Treasures. Just click on the link and it will take you right to it.....I have used it for birthdays, party's, Christmas, welcomes etc. I have had it for a year or so and they still have them. They also have a cute Birdhouse Chalkboard.

Also....The Pillow Stepping Stones

....I bought them at Ohmega Salvage Co. in Berkeley CA a few years ago..... I paid around $18 at the salvage yard..... I think they were seconds ( I can't tell the difference) I have seen them at different nursery. They run around $50 or so.

I have been wanting to paint this chair since last summer. Well today was the day. I bought it at this antique store in Danville CA almost a year ago for 50% off. That was the good thing.
It just needed a little TLC........ I have it at the foot of my bed. Somewhere nice to put shoes on.

I love the way it turned out.....

Sorry, this picture came out a little dark.

Now if only I can get my fireplace done!!!!! Maybe next week.....

Guest Room

I just love WHITE as well as PINK. I also love battenburg lace. I found this duvet cover ages ago and had no idea what I would do with it....well it now has a home....and lots of pillows.....
